Interest

During my Master thesis I was mainly focused in the role of micro RNAs involved in the cardiac regeneration. Non coding RNAs fascinate me as their role in proliferation and cardiac differentiation of embryonic stem cells (ES cells) is poorly understood. Therefore, the aim of my PhD is to characterize the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in the differentiation of ES cells into cardiomyocytes and to identify specific novel lncRNAs that could activate the proliferation of cardiomyocytes and therefore enhance the cardiac regeneration.
